Public Information on Cases Pending Before a Disciplinary Hearing Panel

Pursuant to Supreme Court of Missouri Rule 5.31 and its accompanying Advisory Committee Regulation, all requests for copies of or access to records must be made in writing to this office. To request information regarding cases, please send a fax to (573) 635-8806, or mail your request to 3335 American Avenue, Jefferson City, MO 65109. If you have questions other than a request for documents, please call (573) 638‑2263. If not too voluminous, documents will be e-mailed at no charge. There will be a reasonable charge for providing documents in paper format, including by fax.

Cases will stay on this list until they are available on Case.net, unless the case was dismissed by Informant during the pendency of the disciplinary hearing. You may search for a case on Case.net at https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/base/welcome.do. All disciplinary cases are filed with the Supreme Court, if they are not dismissed by Informant at the disciplinary hearing level. A list of pending cases is below.

On May 13, 2020, the Supreme Court of Missouri entered an order titled In re: Restrictions on Conducting In-person Disciplinary Hearing Panel Proceedings During the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic. Disciplinary hearings are open to the public in accordance with Supreme Court of Missouri Rule 5.31 and its Advisory Committee Regulation, which may be viewed at http://www.courts.mo.gov/courts/ClerkHandbooksP2RulesOnly.nsf/c0c6ffa99df4993f86256ba50057dcb8/653fdb9707bf609086256ca600521218?OpenDocument.  Members of the public or media wishing to attend a hearing being held virtually should contact this office as soon as practicable at (573) 638-2263.

Media representatives who wish to provide media coverage of an attorney disciplinary hearing and use audio, video, electronic recording, photography or other such devices are governed by Supreme Court of Missouri Rule 5.31 and its Advisory Committee Regulation, which may be viewed at http://www.courts.mo.gov/courts/ClerkHandbooksP2RulesOnly.nsf/c0c6ffa99df4993f86256ba50057dcb8/653fdb9707bf609086256ca600521218?OpenDocument.  Members of the media who would like to bring such equipment to an in-person attorney disciplinary hearing must make a request in advance, in writing, to the Legal Ethics Counsel in accordance with Supreme Court of Missouri Rule 5.31 and its Advisory Committee Regulation.  Members of the media seeking to provide media coverage of a virtual attorney disciplinary hearing must make a request in advance, in writing, to the Legal Ethics Counsel in accordance with Supreme Court of Missouri Rule 5.31 and its Advisory Committee Regulation. With such advance notice, this office may be able to provide still images (or short video clips).  Given the uniqueness of the situation, please make such requests as soon as possible.
