Office:  Office of Legal Ethics Counsel/Advisory Committee of the Supreme Court of Missouri

Position Title:  Staff Counsel

Location of Position:   Jefferson City

Position Description:  The Office of Legal Ethics Counsel seeks a full-time staff counsel to assist fellow Missouri lawyers by providing informal advisory opinions on the Missouri Rules of Professional Conduct both by phone and in writing.  Other duties as assigned.  Additional information regarding the work of this office may be found at www.mo-legal-ethics.org.  Small office with a collegial work environment.

Job Requirements:  Must be a Missouri lawyer in good standing with at least three years’ experience preferred.  Excellent communication, writing, and research skills required, as well as sound judgment.  Legal ethics background preferred, but not required.  Training provided. 

Position Location:  This position is located in Jefferson City and currently includes partial remote work.  

Benefits & Salary Range:  Although not a State position, this position offers competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation and sick leave.  Salary range starting at $80,000, commensurate with experience.
